End of Theatrical Season Get Together |

Ghaqda Drammatika Xewkija organized a get together activity at the Centru Parrokjali as a conclusion for this year's theatrical season which saw members and actors involved in several productions such as 'Il-Praspar ta' Pacikk f'Xewkija Hotel', 'L-Gharajjes Imwieghda' and 'Il-Fidwa'.
Ghaqda members worked intensely for the organization of this lunch which involved around 50 persons. The suckling pig was the main dish for this lunch with Mr. Raymond Fenech taking the chef role for this lunch.
A sincere thank you goes from Ghaqda Drammatika Xewkija Committee to all members who in any way helped and gave their contribution during this theatre season. We will see you all after the summer break.

Ghaqda Drammatika Xewkija are completing the process of backstage renovation by finishing works on several doors present at Teatru Govanni. Works are being done by member Ruben Farrugia. Up next are the dressing room doors and the main entrance door. Works are to be completed in the coming weeks.

L-Gharajjes Imwieghda Last Performance |

On Saturday 21st April 2012, Ghaqda Drammatika Xewkija held the last production of L-Gharajjes Imwieghda at Teatru Govanni. A larger crowd attended last Saturday's production with students studying Italian accepting the invite and attending for this production which saw the fate of lovers Renzo and Lucia.
Ghaqda is now looking forward for next season's production which is due on November 2012. More details will be given further on.

On Sunday 15th April, a sporadic audience saw the first show of 'L-Gharajjes Imwieghda', based on the Italian novel 'I Promessi Sposi' by Alessandro Manzoni. Comments following the play were quite positive. For this Saturday's show, at 7.30pm at Teatru Govanni, we would like to invite all those who study Italian at Ordinary or Advanced level to come and enjoy this novel in our mother language.
